As part of the M1 Asian Netball Championships, Netball Singapore organised a special netball clinic for the Madrasah students on 6 September 2018, led by Overathird founder, Micky Lin.
I’ve always been a supporter of SportCares’ initiatives and am really honored to be inivited to run this clinic. The girls were eager to learn, positive and encouraging. I hope they took away something from the session and continue to engage in sports.
– Micky Lin, Overathird Founder, Former Team Singapore Netball Captain
The hour-long training session was followed by a Q&A session where Micky shared her netball journey and how sports has helped her overcome some of the challenges she faced growing up. The girls also asked questions about how she juggled her time between netball and school/work, and tips on how to grow taller!
“We received numerous positive feedback from the Madrasah students who participated in the clinic, with many counting their interaction with former Team Singapore netball captain, Micky Lin as inspirational. These students are active members of their school’s netball CCA and for many of them, being given an opportunity to learn from our homegrown best in netball is simply fantastic.”
– Kerk Kim Por, Director, SportCares Foundation
Overathird is proud and humbled to be part of such a meaningful cause. Thank you Netball Singapore, SportCares and the girls at Madrasah for the opportunity. Till next time!
